Federation President Fırat Deniz donated equipment to the schools that took part in the Inter-High-School Badminton Championship held at the Atatürk Sports Hall on 20 March 2017. Speaking as he handed over the equipment, the President said he believed badminton would continue to grow in our country as the number of athletes increases and more schools take part in the Ministry of Education's inter-school TRNC championship, and he thanked the teachers who prepared the students for the tournament. Deniz said the equipment had been given free of charge by the Turkish Badminton Federation to help badminton spread and develop in the TRNC, and thanked its President Murat Özmekik for this support. He said they distribute this equipment free of charge to support schools and clubs contributing to badminton in our country. The teachers said they were very happy with the equipment, thanked the federation and President Fırat Deniz, and noted that the federation's initiative is very important for the development of sport in the country.
