The under-17 national team trial organised by the Badminton Federation was held on Sunday 6 March 2022. Open to athletes born in 2006 and 2007, the tournament began with an opening ceremony at 09.00; closely fought matches were played across 5 categories throughout the day, ending with an award ceremony at 14.30. İzgi Mertdin and Salih Doğu Öztürk, playing for Near East University, beat all their opponents to win the women's and men's singles. Hüseyin Şahali and Salih D. Öztürk won the men's doubles, Rabia Kadiroğluları and Sevimnaz Çiftlikağası the women's doubles, and Emre Erçelik and İzgi Mertdin the mixed doubles. Speaking before the award ceremony, Federation President Fırat Deniz thanked all the athletes for their outstanding performance, the coaches who trained them and the referees who officiated throughout the championship.
